Experiences of the emergency department for elderly people living in residential aged care: perceptions of patients, carers and care providers

This research study is investigating the care provided to people living in a residential aged care facility who go to a hospital emergency department (ED) with an acute medical problem. The research is being conducted by Dr Glenn Arendts at Royal Perth Hospital in conjunction with Dr Kirsten Howard and A/Professor Susan Quine from the University of Sydney.

Information for Care Providers

We are interested in the perceptions of care providers about the care patients from aged care facilities receive in the ED. As a care provider in a hospital or residential aged care facility, we would like to know what you think works well with current ED care, and what can be improved.
